Jhene Aiko Teases Slinky New Single “To Love And Die” On Instagram: Listen
Jhene Aiko finally landed a well-deserved commercial breakthrough with meandering — in a good way — alt-R&B cut “The Worst”. The Drake-approved anthem became the 26-year-old’s first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100 (it peaked at an impressive number 43) and helped her critically-acclaimed Sail Out EP become a very steady seller.
It looks like the soul siren is now ready to move on to promoting her debut LP Souled Out with new single “To Love And Die”. Jhene teased the atmospheric jam on Instagram today (June 23) and it sounds like another sparse R&B jam with highly confessional lyrics. Only this time, there’s a slight psychedelic twist and the perennially pissed off diva actually sounds rather loved up, so that’s an exciting turn of events. Listen to a preview after the jump.
