Adam Lambert Dons A Killer Wardrobe On His North American Tour With Queen: 7 Pics

Calling all of our diehard Glamberts! As we already know, Adam Lambert has joined forces with legendary rock group Queen and rocked sold out shows across North America — and he’s also got a rock star wardrobe fit for a king. Adorned in everything from a Swarovski crystal embellished Anthony Franco suit to his own studded fringe jacket, there’s no doubt that Adam not only brought his powerhouse vocals, but also his fashion A-game to the stage.

Kicking off the party in Chicago’s United Center on June 19, the sold out 19-city tour is a true classic rock extravaganza — and also a reminder that Adam definitely has some pretty large expectations to fulfill. Check out what he had to say about the tour after the jump.

“It’s not an easy feat,” Adam tells Rolling Stone. “I think a lot of the apprehension has faded because we’ve done this a number of times in the past couple of years. That’s not to suggest I’m getting cocky at all, because I will never compare to Freddie Mercury. He’s one in a million. At this point, I know how to strike a balance between honoring the way these songs were originally meant to be sung and my own instincts, my own choices.”

Nevertheless, it seems as though the shoes fit, and Adam is customizing them to perfectly cater to his personal strengths as well.

So, do you think Adam has lived up to the challenge? Check out the gallery from the official Queen & Adam Lambert Tour above, and let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

This tour includes seven cities in Canada. Queen + Adam has already visited Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. After a swing through the USA they are coming back to play Montreal and Toronto. Then they are off to South Korea, Japan and Australia.

Good job SKIPPING THE ENTIRE USA series of concerts between Canada and Asia/AU. Are you trying to make people think the tour is over in the USA?

I saw the show in Chicago and was amazed. The set, the costumes, the lights, unbelievable. But ultimately Adam’s vocals and Brian May’s guitar licks steal the show. I’ve never seen anything like it and I can die now that I’ve seen this collaboration live. You must see this.

This is without doubt one of the best, if not THE best concerts, of the year. No lip synching or click tracks here– the boys are balls to the wall on every song. Adam’s vocal virtuosity is matched at every turn by the marvelous musicianship of Brian and Roger and the rest of the band. And the production is killer. Seriously, this is one for the ages!

It’s not 19 cities it’s 33. IRONY – Idolator “all about the music” is what comes up next to your “WARDROBE” headline on google. And you can’t even get the fundamentals correct.
