Chris Colfer’s Twitter Announces That He’s Been “Let Go From The Cast Of ‘Glee'” After Apparent Hack

Just when it seemed Glee was recovering during the past season from the loss of actor Cory Monteith and moving in a direction that focused more on the original cast members and less on late-in-the-series new ones, the Fox musical dramedy appeared today to have taken another blow. In the early afternoon, Chris Colfer tweeted the following: “Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly…” Or did he?

Colfer has been a series favorite since the show’s 2009 pilot episode, and this past season, his character Kurt Hummel became engaged to Darren Criss’ Blaine Anderson. Shortly after the above tweet that went out on the actor’s account, however, E! Online senior editor Marc Malkin posted on Twitter that Colfer’s Twitter had been hacked, per Colfer’s manager. “[W]hew! he will be back for more glee,” Malkin typed.

Head below to see the tweet that kicked off the drama, and the subsequent reactions of some of Chris Colfer’s fans.

A little too much bad juju ahead of the holiday weekend, wouldn’t you say, Gleeks?
