Adam Levine may have scored rock icon Stevie Nicks as his go-to sage for the upcoming fall season of The Voice, but new coach Gwen Stefani also has quite an ace of up sleeve, as well: her husband, Gavin Rossdale. “guess who’s going to be my advisor on #TheVoice?” Gwen wrote on Instagram while posting the above photo.

Bush frontman Rossdale told Access Hollywood, “I don’t know how it came about, but it was just one of those things [where] the idea was mentioned — I wasn’t even sure who was mentioning it — and then it came around to, ‘So, next week you ready? You are gonna come and do this?”

He added, “The main thing, from my perspective, is just to make sure that Gwen is so good and excellent like all the other judges on the show. It’s just sort of to not interrupt and to normally let her speak, let her do her thing and I’m just like a side thing.”

The seventh season of NBC talent smash The Voice premieres on September 22. In the meantime, Gwen is being tight-lipped about the rumor of her upcoming third solo LP. Producer Diplo, however, told Idolator in June that he’s done “some stuff for Gwen Stefani for her new record possibly.”
