Lorde’s “Team” Remixed By White Sea: Listen
Well, well — better late than never. Lorde‘s “Team,” the New Zealand singer’s hit follow-up to juggernaut “Royals,” has been around on the airwaves since the winter, but it’s just been given a dreamy overhaul by M83 spinoff White Sea. “Team” proved to be a fan and radio favorite off Lorde’s Pure Heroine album, and here White Sea’s Morgan Kibby takes some experimental liberties while fleshing out the LP version of the song’s more ethereal qualities.
“There is something anonymous about having a project name, and I think because I do so many different things — whether it’s writing pop music or remixing or producing for other bands — I think it allows me a lot of maneuverability, a lot of flexibility,” Kibby told us last month, when describing the work she does under the White Sea monicker.
