Rising R&B singer August Alsina has teamed up with Nicki Minaj for a new song. When fans will hear it, though, remains to be seen.

Alsina announced the song over the weekend. He didn’t reveal the title, but he did give away a July 14 release date, which Minaj later contested. “Hmmmmmm my memo said the 15th Augusstttttttt,” she said on Instagram, as in July 15 – yes, today. Just as fans caught wind of the news, however, Minaj said on Twitter that the song may not drop today, but by the end of this week for sure. “prefer to wait on iTunes but…” she said, without adding anything else.

Fans suspect that the two collaborated on a remix of Alsina’s “No Love,” off his debut album Testimony. “No Love” just happens to be the lead single for Def Jam’s forthcoming Love & Hip Hop: Music From The Series soundtrack, out August 19. And as Singersroom notes, the song was to launch to radio on – you guessed it – July 14. For now, hear the VIBE cover star‘s original track below.
