Angus & Julia Stone Unveil Melodic Rick Rubin-Produced Groove “Grizzly Bear”: Listen

Angus & Julia Stone have unveiled another gorgeous cut from their self-titled third LP (due August 1 on Republic Records). The Australian brother and sister duo snagged legendary producer Rick Rubin to helm the album and his raw, less-is-more approach is very evident on “Grizzly Bear” — a melodic groove that channels ’70s Fleetwood Mac.

“Yeah I seen you there, lookin’ all pretty when you brushed your hair,” sings Angus over breezy guitar and warm keys. Julia then joins him on subtle but insistent chorus (“Can I take you home? We can go anywhere you want to go”). It’s softer and prettier than buzz track “Heart Beats Slow” and every bit as intoxicating as official lead single “A Heartbreak”. Listen after the jump.
