The pop starlets were out and about this week, as Hilary Duff finally set a release date for her comeback single “Chasing The Sun” — and even turned up in NYC to premiere a remix last night. Britney Spears announced a brand new line of sexy lingerie, and La Roux — officially a solo project by the ever-lovely Elly Jackson — released her fantastic new sophomore attempt, Trouble In Paradise. What’s more, Justin Bieber proved that he’s not all scandal and previewed 11 song snippets for what might be his upcoming album, while Beyonce gave her 2003 hit “Crazy In Love” a sexy new facelift for the upcoming film adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey.
Here on Idolator, we brought in Canadian foursome MAGIC! to do an exclusive acoustic performance of album track “No Evil,” and also hung out with X Factor alums Fifth Harmony, who graced us with fabulous new jam “We Know.” And, as if that weren’t enough, we saw Hideaway” songstress Kiesza give her first ever US performance at Santos Party House in New York, and, it was ’90′s House-laden fun all around.
As per usual, you guys had some amazing things to say. Read a roundup of this weeks best comments below.

::JJ came to Azealia Banks‘ rescue on Azealia Banks Preps New Single “Heavy Metal And Reflective”, Teases A Still From The Video: “Her fan base is strong and growing…she’s not a mainstream/commercial type of artist according to current radio standards and she’s cool with that. she won’t have nicki’s success, but she will continue to have more critical acclaim than every other female rapper out for a reason.”
:: And drew is feeling optimistic about Azealia’s upcoming single on Azealia Banks’ “Heavy Metal And Reflective” Video: Watch A Preview: “Throwing a middle finger in the air, and no music to be heard. Is this Azealia’s way of re-interpreting the last 6-8 months? But in a no-shade moment, I really am excited to hear her new music. She may be a hater, but the chick is hardcore awesome when it comes to her songs.”

:: Sam pondered Questlove‘s thoughts on Iggy Azalea on Questlove Defends Iggy Azalea, Calls “Fancy” A “Game-Changer” & “The Song Of The Summer”: “I don’t know if I’d say he came to her defense, but he definitely finds the criticism directed towards her is misguided. The criticism is warranted but more so at the genre and producers as a whole. I enjoy parts of The New Classic, but am unsure how I feel about the whole situation. It’s definitely a little weird.”
:: And finally, Quite Frank is Team Britney Jean when he came to her defense on Ooh La La, Britney Spears Is Releasing Her Own Line Of Sexy Lingerie!: “I´m obviously biased because Im in love with Britney Spears, but there isn´t too much photoshop in that picture! As a hardcore fan, I see candids of her almost daily and you can check out her body is BANGING lately. She looks hot and she works hard for it, most of the candids are her leaving the gym a sweaty mess but alas not all is perfect…Except maybe Ms. Spears.”
