Years And Years Sing Blu Cantrell’s “Breathe”: Listen To The Dazzling Cover

Happy Throwback Thursday (#TBT), everyone! As we take this time to reminisce about the glimmering pop days of yore, take a moment to bliss out to Years and Years‘ cover of Blu Cantrell and Sean Paul’s infectious 2003 collabo, “Breathe.”

Hailing from London, this R&B-pop trio completely transformed the track, as frontman Olly Alexander’s soulful vocals gently float over the slightly eerie bass-laden melody, giving this song a new, more poignant dimension. Not to mention, they also have some great tracks of their own: From R&B electronic-infused jams like “Take Shelter”  to synth-y bops like “Real”, it seems as though these guys are slowly becoming one of the most exciting acts to watch this year.

Catch Years and Years on tour with Sam Smith this fall, but in the meantime, listen to their cover below, and give the original tune a spin as well.
