Finally a sporting event Idolator readers can get behind that isn’t men’s diving. Kylie Minogue has been tapped to headline the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland on August 3. She will share the stage with local stars Lulu, Deacon Blue, Prides and Dougie MacLean in front of an expected 40,000+ spectators.

There’s no word on the pop icon’s setlist yet but expect to hear a bunch of old classics instead of Kiss Me Once cuts. Kylie famously sang “On A Night Like This” (and covered ABBA‘s “Dancing Queen”) at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, so it would be interesting to see a repeat performance. The closing ceremony will be televised live in 72 countries. Check your listings.
