Emblem3 Cover Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass”: Watch Their Surprisingly Cute Interpretation
Remember Emblem3? The boys came fourth on the second season of X Factor and scored a memorable hit with feel-good anthem “Chloe (You’re The One I Want)”. Well, they’re back (minus Drew Chadwick) with an acoustic cover of Meghan Trainor‘s iTunes-conquering smash “All About That Bass” and it’s, somewhat surprisingly, very cute.
The Stromberg brothers do a good job of flipping the song around without destroying its positive message. So instead of a woman embracing her size, Wesley and Keaton are expressing their appreciation for natural-looking ladies. Emblem3’s version will no doubt help Meghan’s seemingly inevitable climb to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and it’s a potent reminder that there’s more to the band than “Chloe”.
