Smart cookie Kiesza continues to impress with her lives performances, only the one we’re raving about this time around doesn’t involve her elaborately recreating her “Hideaway” dance routine outside a television studio space. The Canadian singer instead sat down with an acoustic guitar for NME‘s Basement Sessions series and turned out a moving rendition of Nirvana‘s In Utero classic “Heart Shaped Box.” In doing so, Kiesza proved that she’s not just a child of ’90s with an affinity for only house music, but rather for the entire array of sounds that influenced her while growing up.
