Take That Enlisted By Director Matthew Vaughn Again, For ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ Song

Earlier this year, Take That set about recording their follow-up LP to 2010’s Progress, minus sometimes-member Robbie Williams. (“Logistically, I can’t do it. I have the tour and I’m going to be a dad again,” Williams told The Sun in the spring.) But while the jury’s still out on whether or not we’ll see a new album from the British boy-turned-man band before the end of 2014, there are reports that the quartet will contribute a soundtrack song to the upcoming Colin Firth– and Samuel L. Jackson-starring film Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Director Matthew Vaughn, who lensed Kingsman, wrangled Take That for two of his previous movies: the 2007 Claire Danes flick Stardust contained the band’s “Rule The World” (which they performed at the 2012 Summer Olympics), while 2011’s X-Men: First Class had “Love Love” on the soundtrack.

Kingsman was initially set for a November release date in theaters, but has now been pushed to February 2015.
