The spotlight is officially back on Jennifer Hudson.

Taking a page out of J.Lo‘s book, the American Idol alum’s opted to employ her nickname, JHUD, as the title of her forthcoming third studio album, which is officially due to out on September 23.

Along with revealing the release date, as well as a 5-track sampler back in early July featuring “Walk It Out” and “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” the powerhouse vocalist also premiered the cover art for her new LP, which sees the songstress looking extra confident and fierce with a slicked-back coif and a fashionable leather jacket, serving face on a rooftop.

And that’s not all! Along with her own LP, Hudson’s also making a cameo on a track from UK duo Gorgon City‘s highly anticipated new album, Sirens.
