Calvin Harris Blocked Rita Ora’s Teen Choice Awards Performance, Dragged Her On Twitter

It looks like Calvin Harris isn’t handling his break-up with Rita Ora particularly well. He denied the “Black Widow” diva’s request to perform their hit collaboration “I Will Never Let You Down” at the recent Teen Choice Awards and (allegedly) dragged her on Twitter by randomly sharing this lyric from his club anthem “Summer”: “You act so innocent now…but you lied so soon.”

It all sounded a little far-fetched but Rita confirmed the situation in a radio interview. “Unfortunately we couldn’t do the Teen Choice Awards,” she told Ryan Seacrest this morning (August 12). When he asked what happened, the 23-year-old simply said: “ask Calvin.” The frequently-topless hitmaker then explained that the DJ has to sign off on all TV performances as the record’s sole writer/producer.

“We put a lot of effort and work into the show,” the Brit continued. “Every time we do a show, I rehearse about a month in advance and ya know… I could have got told a few weeks earlier. That would have been nice!” Break-ups are always tough but this sounds a little petty, particularly when Calvin gains financially from the song’s success. See his tweet and watch Rita’s interview after the jump.
