Ariana Grande’s Ex Cheated On Her With A Man, References It On “Break Your Heart Right Back”

Ariana Grande believes one of her ex-boyfriends cheated on her with another guy and references the event in My Everything cut “Break Your Heart Right Back”. (Is this Jai Brooks shade?) “Originally it was going to be about a boy who cheats with a girl,” the pint-sized diva told Attitude magazine recently. She then decided to make the song about “a boy who cheats on a girl with another boy.”

Here’s where it gets really juicy. “It’s one of my favorites on the album and it’s really funny because I believe it has happened to me,” Ariana reportedly told Metro. “I’m not 100 percent positive, but I’m 99.9 percent positive.” Don’t worry, the loyal Mariah Carey fan isn’t pressed about being dumped for a dude. “I would rather he cheats on me with a guy than with a girl any day!” she declared. “If I found out my boyfriend was gay… I’d be so relieved.”

And just when you thought the must-hear anthem couldn’t get any camper, Ari confirmed that “Break Your Heart Right Back” samples Diana Ross‘ classic 1980 hit (and enduring gay anthem) “I’m Coming Out”. Given the overwhelming success of singles “Problem” and “Break Free”, it’s only a matter of time before we hear the delightfully twisted track on the radio.

Is Ariana being shady by outing an ex or is this harmless fun? Have your say in the comments below.
