‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Rules The Box Office & Album Chart, The Vamps Make Their Debut

With sci-fi romp Guardians Of The Galaxy currently making a killing at the box office (the film has earned $188 million in just under two weeks), the accompanying Awesome Mix Vol. 1 soundtrack hops up two positions to #1 on the Billboard 200, after selling another 109,000 copies. Looks like Frozen, which has been hanging out in the Top 10 since last November, finally has some fresh, new movie-music competition.

Behind the Guardians soundtrack, a trio of new entries hit the chart in the forms of the 51st NOW That’s What I Call Music compilation (#2), Godsmack‘s 1000HP (#3) and Spoon‘s They Want My Soul (#4). That leaves the Somebody To You EP from UK boy band The Vamps to go in at #10 after selling 20,000 copies out of the gate.
