New Find: Annabel Jones’ “Magnetic” Is The Best Pop Song You’ll Hear Today

Annabel Jones could be the best-kept secret on SoundCloud. The Brit hits all the right notes on mercurial synth-ballad “Magnetic”, which falls somewhere between Imogen Heap and Ellie Goulding (they share a knack for ethereal-yet-catchy pop) on the female singer-songwriter spectrum. In other words, it’s awesome and you need to hear it.

There isn’t a lot of information on the 26-year-old — or her new project — but here’s what I know. Annabel fronted a couple of bands (Bluebell and Lady And The Lost Boys) that didn’t quite work out and moved to Los Angeles to work on solo material for an EP. The newcomer is also the daughter of the late Davy Jones (of The Monkees), so she definitely has musical pedigree. Check out “Magnetic” after the jump and get on the AJ bandwagon early.
