Iggy Azalea’s Sexy “Black Widow” Look Was (Partly) Inspired By Beyonce: Find Out How

Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora set YouTube on fire yesterday (August 13) with their ferocious “Black Widow” video. The X co-directed visual is loosely based on Quintin Tarantino‘s Kill Bill films but one fan thought the “Fancy” diva’s style (namely her multi-colored locks) served Christina Aguilera circa “Come On Over (All I Want Is You)” realness. He posted a side-by-side on Instagram to prove the point and was more than a little surprised when the Australian rapper replied. And corrected him.

“I see @xtina still inspiring the girls in 2014,” 106th captioned the image. “She’s amazing,” Iggy replied.  “But it was actually bey in her bootylicious video with her hot pink dipped ends that I was feeling.” The straight-talking femcee is, of course, referring to Destiny’s Child‘s iconic 2000 chart-topper. While we’re on the topic of Beyonce, I’m pretty sure her 2005 Pepsi commercial with Jennifer Lopez also influenced the killer clip. (After all, they were based on the same source material). See the cute exchange after the jump.

While you’re here, why not relive the magic of “Come On Over (All I Want Is You)” and “Bootylicious”?
