From 5 Seconds Of Summer to Vance Joy, Australian artists are slowly but surely taking over the airwaves. On the strength of new single “Roll Up Your Sleeves”, you can’t help but think Meg Mac is a lucky break away from joining them. The lilting neo-soul ballad is the perfect vehicle for her gorgeous voice, which evokes images of Memphis rather than downtown Melbourne.

The 23-year-old first made waves at home by winning an unsigned talent competition. Since then Megan McInerny (her real name) has already churned out an impressive buzz single and a stunning cover of Broods‘ breakthrough hit “Bridges”. She takes it to the next level with “Roll Up Your Sleeves”, which is the first taste of her debut EP MEGMAC. Watch the simple but effective video up top.
