Beyonce covers a 1966 classic in the second trailer for HBO’s On the Run special.

While dressed as a jazz singer and staring down one captive audience member, husband and touring partner Jay Z, she sings the opening lines of the Sonny Bono-penned “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down),” as more so inspired by Nancy Sinatra than Cher: “I was five and he was six / We rode on horses made of sticks / He wore black and I wore white / He would always win the fight…”

Then the On the Run trailer cuts to exhilarating footage from Beyonce and Jay Z’s joint tour: The stunts. The squats. The hair flips. The crowd doing the Roc-A-Fella sign. Beyonce casually pushing her husband aside, just because. While the lyrics to “Bang Bang” spell out defeat, the trailer only confirms that during On the Run, Jay Z actually plays hypeman to his wife.
