The age of Aquarius, Tinashe-style, is almost upon us. The rising Los Angeles-based diva’s debut LP Aquarius will be released on October 7, according to a press release from her label, RCA, and it’s coming packed with a list of top-notch collaborators the “2 On” singer worked with over the past year in New York, Los Angeles and London.

Musicians included in the mix: “2 On” tunesmiths DJ Mustard, Redwine and DJ Marley Waters, as well as Stargate, Future, Jasper and Boi-1da. The press release also notes that Tinashe’s next single, the A$AP Rocky-featuring “Pretend,” will be released “later this month.” The song was produced by Detail.

Back in April, Tinashe stopped by Idolator for a chat and we asked her why she chose the title Aquarius for her debut album.

“First of all, obviously it’s my sign. It’s another way just making a statement that this is who I am, this is a piece of work that embodies who Tinashe is,” the 21 year old told us. “And then also I think there is a lot of other dimensions that means for me, and I kind of explores more in the music on the album, but I don’t want to give too much away.”
