Madonna And Eve Team Up On “The Beat Is So Crazy”: Listen To The ‘Hard Candy’ Era Demo

Here’s something to make the wait for Madonna‘s new album a little easier. Over the weekend a track recorded for the queen of pop’s 2008 hip-hop adventure Hard Candy surfaced online. “The Beat Is So Crazy” is a club-ready Pharrell/Timbaland co-production featuring semi-retired rap diva Eve. Think “Give It 2 Me” but unfinished and nowhere near as good.

According to internet legend, “The Beat Is So Crazy” was then slated for Eve’s fourth LP Here I Am. Unfortunately, that project was scrapped when the singles (remember “Tambourine”?) underperformed — so the collaboration remained locked away on someone’s laptop until now. The song hasn’t aged particularly well but it’s still well worth a listen. Get your Madonna fix after the jump.
