While this year in pop hasn’t exactly yielded a treasure trove of releases (yet), Katy B‘s stunning dance-pop opus Little Red remains one of the standouts of 2014.

It’s been a minute since we last heard from the UK dance floor crooner, but she’s returned out of nowhere with a brand new (free!) cut called “Little Red Light” as a gift for fans heading out to see her upcoming live set.

“Here’s an exclusive new track from myself to get you in the mood for my set at the Boxfresh x Rinse stage at Carnival,” she explains on her Soundcloud. The funky track sees Katy getting anxious about the status of her relationship, a la “Broken Record”: “Got your little red light on, flashing like a warning sign/I don’t want to be a feel boy, or is it all in my mind?” she ponders across tripping UK garage beats and an infectious Island rhythm.

Listen to Katy’s free new track after the jump, and let us know what you think of the new tune in the comments below.
