Chris Brown Debuts Diplo-Produced Album Title Track, “X”: Listen

Chris Brown‘s X has been a long time coming, thanks to a seemingly endless string of pushbacks and legal troubles. But it really is coming, and to prove it, Breezy’s just debuted the massive, Diplo-produced title track from the upcoming LP.

The track kicks off slowly and pensively at first, similar to Usher‘s own Diplo collabo, “Climax.” “If you’re only as good as the company you keep then I’mma blame you for what they say about me,” he damningly croons. Synths start to build around the crooner’s melodic vocals, until it becomes an all-out electronic production: “I swear to God I’m moving on!” he angrily spits before the song dips into a heavy, very Diplo-esque sort of noisy “Express Yourself”-like breakdown. Breezy’s been burned — this is clearly not a love song.
