Coldplay’s “True Love” Video Tells A Whimsical Love Story: Watch

Coldplay has really upped the visual ante during the Ghost Stories era. The band took a spooky stroll through their woods in their dark and distorted “Midnight” video, put on an old-fashioned carnival show in “Magic” and took to the streets of Sydney, Australia for their “A Sky Full Of Stars” visual. They were all striking in their own way but “True Love” could be their best yet.

Directed by Jonas Akerlund, the whimsical clip tells an unusual love story. There’s a sumo suit-wearing ballerina who is deemed too fat for the stage but refuses to give up on her dream to dance. She crosses paths with Chris Martin, who shares her passion and size. Before you can grab a tissue to dab your eyes, they’re in love and dancing together. Watch up top.
