Charli XCX Goes Bad Ass School Girl In “Break The Rules” Video: Watch

Well, she’s officially done the impossible: Charli XCX has made me want to be back in high school again — if only to be her friend.

After premiering the feisty first offering from her upcoming second LP Sucker, the bad-ass “Boom Clap” songstress has just delivered the appropriately school-themed video for her latest single, “Break The Rules.”

Charli and her friends (together, a giant group of mega-babes) are in no mood for academia in the newly premiered clip, causing a ruckus on the school bus and taking a pit shop at the fabulous Trashy Lingerie boutique to try on some sweet outfits for prom. Given the Jawbreaker vibes of the video, it’s only too perfect to see Rose McGowan making a cameo to play “The Chaperone” at the dance as the troupe makes their grand entrance and takes over the otherwise lame scene. (And after the Clueless nod with the “Fancy” video, it looks like Charli’s not over her ’90’s teen movie love affair!) No spoilers from hereonin, but watch all the way to the end…Carrie might also come to mind.
