Usher Hits The Club Without Nicki Minaj In Their “She Came To Give It To You” Video: Watch
Given Usher‘s status as perhaps the most consistent artist in R&B, it’s surprising how underwhelming the first two cuts from his eighth studio album have been. “Good Kisser” was an unusually generic bedroom anthem and “She Came To Give It To You” sounds like a reject from Justin Timberlake‘s The 20/20 Experience. Even a cameo from Nicki Minaj can’t save it.
The video isn’t particularly inspiring either. The 35-year-old is one of the best dancers in the business but his moves are clouded by murky lighting and choppy editing. Then there’s Nicki no-show. Sure, she performs her verse in a room surrounded by televisions but it’s kind of anti-climactic that they never share a scene together. Watch up top.
