Barbra Streisand On Track For Record 10th Number One Album With ‘Partners’

Bown down to the one true queen of the Billboard 200. Barbra Streisand is on track to land a record-breaking 10th number one LP next week with duets collection Partners. That would make her the first artist to score chart-toppers in a brain-busting six consecutive decades. It would also extend her lead over Madonna as the female artist with the most number one albums.

The pop icon has done a brilliant job of marketing this album. Not only did she team up with a fine selection of fellow superstars (Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney for starters), Babs also revamped her image by embracing social media — her Instagram account is life — and upping her promo game. Partners is predicted to sell 150,000 copies in its first week of sale.

What do you put Barbra’s career longevity down to? Have your say in the comments below.
