Annie Lennox’s “I Put A Spell On You” Performance Video: Watch
Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga and Barbra Streisand aren’t the only ones turning to the classics for fall album releases. Annie Lennox will release her own set of standards, titled Nostalgia, first on vinyl on September 30, and then on all other formats the following month, on October 21.
Lennox’s first music video offering from the set is for “I Put A Spell On You,” a song penned in 1956 by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins and later made famous by jazz-pop legend Nina Simone. More of a live performance clip than a traditional, plot-driven music video, Annie’s visual shows the iconic Scot dancing and swaying to the song as a bluesy band an full orchestra play along.
