Lady Gaga And Tony Bennett Talk ‘Cheek To Cheek’ During Twitter Q&A: Read The Tweets
In case you hadn’t already heard the news, this is a week of celebration for true lovers of jazz standards.
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett‘s duet record Cheek To Cheek has finally hit the streets this week, and critics are already abuzz. To keep that momentum going strong, the two superstar acts hopped on Twitter this afternoon to answer a few questions from iTunes (and fans!) about their brand new record.
Like their CBS Sunday interview, the two have nothing but sweet things to say about each other (“My first reaction was that I met a genius,” Tony says of meeting Gaga), and Gaga certainly seems humbled and spiritually renewed by the experience. She also feels more breathing room this time around as opposed to the ARTPOP era: “I feel freer singing jazz, it’s my roots. It’s rebellious. The more rules u break the better u r at improvising,” Gaga said when asked about singing jazz versus pop.
