Rihanna Reunites With Ester Dean In The Studio, Working On New Album
With her Instagram presence gone and her lack of steady (and shady) tweets, Rihanna has surprisingly been under the radar over the past few months – save for a few scandalous photo shoots here and there. But the pop star hasn’t shown any public signs of working on new material – until now!
Rihanna’s been spotted in New York City over the last few days in and out of the recording studio, prepping for her pending eighth studio album (or #R8, as the Navy calls it). Her recent session turned into a reunion, as the singer met up with frequent collaborator Ester Dean.
Dean posted a black + white photo of the two in the studio yesterday (September 25) on Instagram, with the ironic caption – “Caption This.” The songwriter (who has worked with acts like Christina Aguilera, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry) is behind some of Rihanna‘s biggest hits – including “Rude Boy,” “What’s My Name,” and “Where Have You Been.”
Alongside Dean, Rihanna has been working with writers and producers like DJ Mustard, Ne-Yo and Elijah Blake on her forthcoming LP. She is also expected to release a concept album for her 3D animated film Home, which will include credits from Emelie Sande and Rodney Jerkins.
