Beyonce Joins Jay Z On Stage At Global Citizen Festival: Watch

Jay Z headlined this year’s Global Citizen Festival on September 27, in New York’s Central Park. To have one of the biggest rappers in hip-hop history on stage, for a festival raising awareness for extreme poverty worldwide, felt momentous in of itself. When Beyonce made a surprise appearance during his set, however, not even the usually-calm rapper could contain himself as he practically screeched her name: “Make some noise for Beyonceeeee!”

The On the Run tourmates teamed up to perform Jay Z’s “Holy Grail” and “Young Forever,” though with a slight wardrobe malfunction. During the former, Beyonce’s blouse came undone to reveal her nude bra as she sang Justin Timberlake‘s despairing parts with added urgency and jumping up and down in heels. Beyonce could have easily receded into the background during the rest of Jay Z’s verses. Instead, while occasionally tugging her blouse closed, she continued to vibe and dance wildly for the rest of the performance.
