Kylie Minogue Covers “Bette Davis Eyes” For BBC Radio 2’s ‘Sounds Of The ’80s’: Listen To Her Cute Version

Here’s something to brighten up your work day! Kylie Minogue tackled Kim Carnes‘ 1981 smash “Bette Davis Eyes” for BBC Radio 2’s Sounds Of The ’80s, transforming it into a bubbly synth-pop anthem that walks the line between cheesy and cheerful with the skill of an acrobatic. The camp cover wouldn’t sound of place on the diva’s Light Years LP, which is a really big compliment.

After missing the mark somewhat with Kiss Me Once, the pop icon is turning things around with a well-received world tour and that unexpected-but-very-welcome Kylie + Garibay EP. In fact, all of the 46-year-old’s non-album tracks have been great this era. Maybe it’s time to repackage her latest with “Golden Boy”, “Crystallized” and “Bette Davis Eyes”? Listen after the jump.
