Two weeks ago, news surfaced that cute pop duo/real life couple Karmin had parted ways with their label, Epic, following the spring release of debut album Pulses. Not ones to sit around, however, Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan have been busying themselves with recording new, original material, the first taste of which we get today. “New song, do share!” the pair tweeted after premiering the track “Sugar.”

“How can I live when the way I feel about you is intentional, dimensional, flirtation is inevitable, chemical, edible, side effects regrettable,” Amy raps over the synth-and-string filled track.

Listen below, and be sure to stick around till the end when the bulk of the instrumentation drops out, leaving Hedemann to ad lib over the last 40 seconds.
