Jessica Lange’s Cover Of “Life On Mars?” Is The Best Thing You’ll See This Week: Watch Her ‘AHS: Freak Show’ Performance

Jessica Lange returned to TV screens across the nation this week as the star of American Horror Story: Freak Show. Series creator Ryan Murphy had already let slip that the dual Oscar winner would perform a Lana Del Rey song at some point during the season but the diva’s wonderfully demented cover of David Bowie‘s “Life On Mars?” caught everyone by surprise.

Her kooky, emotion-charged rendition was such a hit with viewers that it’s been rushed to iTunes and is already climbing the download chart. (The 65-year-old actress is currently outselling new singles from August Alsina and Nicki Minaj, Alt-J and Bastille). It’s not the first time one of Jessica’s musical performance has become a pop culture phenomenon. “The Name Game” went harder than most top 10 hits released in 2012. Watch her slay again up top.

Is this Jessica’s best musical performance yet? Have your say in the comments below.
