Bonnie Anderson’s “Rodeo” Is A Twisted Country-Pop Delight: Listen To The Aussie Diva’s New Single

It took Bonnie Anderson six years to release her debut single after winning Australia’s Got Talent as a 12-year-old way back in 2007. That song, a bubbly pure-pop anthem called “Raise The Bar”, made minor waves in 2013 but she finally landed a major hit with Katy Perry-channeling club banger “Blackout”. (It sounds a lot like “Dark Horse”).

The talented teen finds her own lane with “Rodeo”. Co-written and produced by long-time P!nk collaborator Billy Man, “Rodeo” is a demented country-pop detour that sounds horrible in theory but, through some mystery of the universe, just works. “My daddy is a boxer, he taught my how to punch with my bare hands,” Bonnie sings over plucked guitar strings before launching into the infectious chorus. I’m here for it. Listen to the future hoedown classic after the jump.
