Watch out ladies and gentleman – Legendtina is back! After taking a break for two consecutive seasons, Christina Aguilera now plans to return to The Voice for its upcoming eighth season. Host Carson Daly announced the news this morning (October 14) on Today.

During her absence, Shakira and Gwen Stefani have filled in her red seat. But the singer has kept busy, with her engagement to now-fiance Matt Rutler and the birth of her daughter, Summer Rain, back in August. In the current season of the show, Gwen Stefani has become one of the favorites amongst the judges and has even used it as a platform to boost her comeback (she’ll reportedly be premiering her new single, “Baby Don’t Lie” on its stage).

Look out for Aguilera’s reunion with Blake Shelton and Adam Levine when the new season premieres next Spring. It’ll also be interesting to see how the diva will get along with Pharrell, who will also be coming back to the show.
