Nicole Scherzinger Reunites With T.I. On “Electric Blue”: Listen To The ‘Big Fat Lie’ Highlight

Nicole Scherzinger tapped T.I. to feature on her debut solo single “Whatever U Like” way back in 2007. It’s only fitting then that they reunite — seven years later — on the former PCD diva’s long-awaited US debut LP Big Fat Lie. And while “Electric Blue” lacks the edge of their first collaboration, the Janet Jackson-channelling mid-tempo bop is an absolute gem.

Produced by The-Dream (it also features his vocals) and Tricky Stewart, “Electric Blue” is a throwback to the simplicity and swagger of ’90s R&B. “At night all I think about is you, on that high this is what you do,” coos Nicole over rubbery beats. From there, she launches into the almost bubblegum-pop chorus before Tip arrives late in the song with a typically explicit verse. Listen after the jump.
