Good morning, New York! Taylor Swift‘s got a very special surprise waiting for you this morning.

With the release of 1989 just one week away, Tay’s doing more promo than ever for her forthcoming foray into pop. And, after dropping “Out Of The Woods”, sipping Diet Coke with kittens and teasing lyric after lyric on a daily basis, the “Shake It Off” singer has just provided her loyal Swifties with yet another taste of her upcoming LP.

“Welcome To New York” is the first track off of Taylor’s new record, and will be made available to download in full later tonight on iTunes. The bubbly, synth-filled ode to the city certainly sounds like the late ’80’s pop Taylor was inspired by while making her new album. “Welcome to New York…it’s been waiting for you!” she happily sings above the sparkly beat, recalling something off of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s Kiss. Listen to the preview of “Welcome To New York” up top.
