Aside from her chart-topping smashes like “Give Your Heart A Break,” “Heart Attack” and “Skyscraper,” Queen Demi Lovato is also known for her outspokenness, frequently opening up about everything from sexuality to body image to feminism — and this week is certainly no exception.

Her good friend Taylor Swift‘s been getting plenty of both praise and heat lately for her recent 1989 offerings like “Out Of The Woods,” which led her to speak out about what she considered to be “sexist” criticism for writing about her ex-boyfriends — and it seems that Demi’s in agreement with Tay.

In an interview with ET Canada, the “Neon Lights” singer backed up her friend, going on to say that Taylor’s one of the very few famous friends she has that has yet to be affected by fame. Check out Demi’s full comments after the jump.

From ET Canada:

“Don’t f**k with me if you’re going to say women suck,” Demi says. Adding that her message has always been about “inspiring women and inspiring everybody to be honest.” And that’s not all the “Skyscraper” singer had to say about her “good friend” Taylor, Demi opened up to us about how she thinks fame has yet to affect Swift.

“She’s one person that I feel like, one of the few people I’ve maintained a friendship with in this industry,” Lovato says. Adding, “[fame] just changes people and it’s hard because you have incredible friendships and people change,” possibly alluding to her falling out with former pop star Selena Gomez.

Say what you will about Demi, but she’s always got a friend’s back!
