Nicki Minaj’s ‘The Pinkprint’ Is Pushed Back To December

Nicki Minaj seems to be having an awesome year — she ditched the colorful wigs for a more age-appropriate and glamorous look; collaborated with Jessie J, Usher and Beyonce; her inescapable “Anaconda” single was recently certified Platinum; she’s hosting the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards and she was planning her third LP release for The Pinkprint.

The album was previously set to drop on November 24 (the same day as Iggy Azalea‘s Reclassified re-release, FYI), but now the project has been pushed back along with labelmate Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter V. But unlike Weezy’s record (who knows when that will arrive), Minaj’s The Pinkprint has a new release date — December 14.

The rapper’s first release date was perfect for the upcoming Black Friday madness, so we’re curious to know why the album was pushed back towards the year’s end. Perhaps it was to rule out the competition? Who knows, Barbz, who knows…
