Austin Mahone Gets Sexy On New Song, “Places”: Listen
Austin Mahone might have got our *NSync and Backstreet Boys-lovin’ hearts racing with his early ’00’s-tastic The Secret EP earlier this year, but he’s keeping things more low-key with his latest track, “Places.”
The melodic tune, which Austin is now giving away for free as a special surprise for fans on his Soundcloud, sees the talented young singer taking down the BPM (and the lights!) for a sexy slow-burning R&B jam, co-penned by his friend Robert Villanueva. “Here’s a new song me and Robert wrote since we’ve been in the new house! Hope you like it,” he said of the song. Listen to “Places” after the jump.
The track marks a more mature sonic shift in direction for Austin. “She knows that I’m impressed by the way when she does it, when she ooo-oo-oo!” Oh, my! Will this be what his forthcoming debut LP sounds like, or just a one-off for fun? We’ll just have to wait and see.
