Hats off, Swifties. You go harder for your Queen than any other fanbase! According to sales predictions, Taylor Swift‘s 1989 is on track to sell more than one million copies in its first week of sale — making it the second best-selling album of 2014 after Disney’s chart-conquering Frozen soundtrack. The 24-year-old will also become the first artist in history to have three albums cross the million mark after seven days of release (2010’s Speak Now and 2012’s Red also achieved the feat).

So what’s Tay Tay’s secret? Well, her military-like promo blitz certainly helped. As did the innovative roll-out (live stream announcement, secret sessions and Instagram countdown) and goodies-filled Target deluxe edition. She also said girl, bye to Spotify and had every celebrity she’s ever met promote 1989 on their social channels. All is fair in love and first-week album sales, and the “Shake It Off” diva knows what it takes to get your coins. Well played and game over.
