Jennifer Lopez has been a tabloid fixture thanks to her high-profile relationships with Puff Daddy, Ben Affleck and Marc Anthony, among others. (See her “Jenny from the Block” video for proof.) However, she has yet to open up about these relationships as she apparently has in her forthcoming memoir True Love, out November 4. “I’ve never gotten a black eye or a busted lip, but I’ve felt abused in one way or another: mentally, emotionally, verbally,” she says, according to PEOPLE.

While Lopez doesn’t say who was responsible for such abuse, she did mention that Anthony, her third husband and the father of her two children, found True Love to be revealing. “He read it and said, ‘Wow, I didn’t realize you were going through this whole journey,’ ” she says. “We try to be supportive of each other. We feel that’s the best thing for our kids.” Anthony had filed for divorce in 2012, shortly after the couple’s seventh wedding anniversary.
