Kylie Minogue is experiencing something of a revival in the Australian electronic scene. Hipster darlings Flight Facilities invited the pop icon to sing their “Crave You” reprise, while Peking Duk covered the diva’s seminal 2001 hit “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” for JJJ’s popular Like A Version segment. They also brought along vocalist JOY and members of the Sydney Chamber Orchestra.

The Canberra duo, who scored a commercial breakthrough at home earlier this year with synth-pop single “High” (it also resulted in a US record deal), put a memorable spin on Kylie’s much-played monster hit. They slow the tempo right down, opting for an ambient-electro approach. JOY’s sultry vocals are on-point and the strings are a nice touch. Watch up top.
