Lana Del Rey’s “Once Upon A Dream (Young Ruffian Remix)” Gets An Official Video: Watch
Lana Del Rey works in mysterious ways. Promotion for her amazing Ultraviolence LP has seemingly ground to halt (apart from that unforgettable stint at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Forever cemetery) but she just dropped an official remix video for Maleficent theme song “Once Upon A Dream” — months after the box office smash finished its run in theaters.
At least the remix in question is a menacing masterpiece. Young Ruffian‘s dreamy/nightmarish overhaul has racked up almost one million streams on SoundCloud and is generally accepted to have achieved the impossible by making Lana’s eerie cover even spookier with a cacophony of sinister bleeps and beeps. Watch the video, which features footage from the Angelina Jolie-starring blockbuster, up top.
