Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beat” Video: Watch The Singer In A New (Neon) Light In Her ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Visual

Lorde is back in full force with the Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1 soundtrack, which she curated and also contributed four songs to. And as she teased yesterday with stills from her “Yellow Flicker Beat” video, she’s also got a new ‘do to go along with the new music!

The video is finally here, and, okay — it’s really Lorde’s same old hair. Only in several scenes, including one where the 17-year-old Grammy winner dances feverishly in the neon-lit glow of a motel room, she’s got her locks all pulled up, Florence Welch-style.

Lorde also spends time in the video dancing on an empty sound stage, sitting by a swimming pool and strutting in a knockout dress through a fancy party. The “Yellow Flicker Beat” video ends with her in a stylish white suit, perched alone at a desolate bus stop at night.

Dare we say it, our little pop star is looking all grown up. Watch Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beat” video above, and let us know your thoughts on it in the comments below!
