Nicki Minaj’s ‘The Pinkprint’ Is Partially Inspired By Enya

With all of the disjointed singles Nicki Minaj has released from her upcoming LP The Pinkprint so far, one cannot truly understand where her inspiration is coming from. But apparently the rapper has drawn influence from Irish celtic singer, Enya. Yes, you read that correctly!

In the latest issue of magazine, Minaj states: “One of my biggest is Enya. There are two records early in the album where the airiness and the whimsicalness remind me of Enya, and I sort of crafted it thinking about her and the way her music makes me feel.” We’ll have to wait to hear the rest of the album’s tracks to make that call.

The Pinkprint is Nicki Minaj’s third album, set for a December 15 release. It features songs like “Pills N’ Potions,” “Only,” “Lookin Ass” and the infamous booty romp — “Anaconda.”
