Yes, that’s a whole lot of numbers all at once: The five lads of One Direction are about to release their fourth studio album, FOUR — and they’re giving away (yet another) new song called “18” for those who’ve already pre-ordered the album. (This one follows “Where Do Broken Hearts Go?”, which just premiered yesterday.)

The sweet love song sees the boys singing above a gentle guitar strum, gradually building toward the more familiar arena-sized power rock ballad territory they’ve come to master over the years. “I have loved you since we were 18/Long before we both thought the same thing/To be loved, and to be in love,” they coo, their voices sounding noticeably more mature than ever before. (They’re really growing up as artists!) Think this one packs an especially emotional punch? There’s good reason: x crooner Ed Sheeran wrote the track. Listen to “18” after the jump.
